Hi there! Not sure if this will help you or not, but just a heads-up: the classic lookface for monstertypes only works within the range of 1–1000.
Whenever you set a value in the
lookface field in cq_monstertype, you need to check the following:
3DSimpleObj.ini – This is where you define the lookface entry that the client will use for the NPC or monster.
For example, lookface = 295. You would look for:
[ObjIDType295] ; Lookface ID
PartAmount=1 ; Amount of Texture/Mesh
Part0=295000000 ; Mesh ID
Texture0=295000000 ; Texture ID
3DSimpleRole.ini – This controls how the object is displayed in the eudemon bag, such as its size and position.
For example:
Look = xx ; ObjID
Size = xx ; Size
XPos = xx ; Left / Right
YPos = xx ; Up / Down
armor.ini – This is where the actual monster appearance is defined.
The three-digit number from the lookface field acts as the indicator. So if the lookface in cq_monstertype is 295, you would look for the corresponding 295000000 entry in armor.ini.
For example:
[295000000]
Part=1
Mesh0=295000000 ; Mesh ID
Texture0=295000000 ; Texture ID
MixTex0=0
MixOpt0=0
Asb0=5
Adb0=6
Material0=default
This is where you define which mesh and texture the client should use for that particular monster appearance.
The important part is that 295 is the lookface indicator, which leads to 295000000 in the client, and the armor.ini entry is what defines the actual mesh and texture used to display the monster.
Hope this helps answer your question!
Warm regards,
