ddosing Mahachi servers

can it be done i am running mine on Hamachi and want to advertize it but dont want TriggerHappy to shut it down any thoughts on this ?

If I remember correctly... Yes it's possible to still DDoS attack a server even on Hamachi.

Never once did I state I wanted to DDoS a hamachi server... Can the mod please give a fraction to this noob who basically accuses people when clearly they don't know what their talking about and not to mention goes off topic for wanting more posts. pffff


Anyway to dbraggs123, I suggest you find a host or risk it as there are people who will go after servers/hamachi servers etc...

you cant DDOS a hamachi server

you can DOS a hamachi server ,but i do not think that some people will do that
a proxy does not work on hamachi as hamachi is a VPN ( just like a proxy does )

so the setup to do a DDOS on a VPN is complicated (or you can start routing a lot of proxy's to the vpn and so on ... to mutch tech talk and complicated to explain )

eather way
IF they even try to ddos a hamachi server , then you woulnd even notice it
as most service providers block incoming traffic ( ISP's ) and certain ports unlike webhosts
and even if they dit , depending on your speed/provider you woulnd even notice it
or they do like trigger does , get a vps and put his overpowered program on it to press a button after he put hamachi on it and hoping it will route true the vpn system of hamachi network

it is not something you need to be affraid of

its the same that trigger feels like *** when he get blocked in my firewall and want to show proof to the world that my site is down for him (he even thinks that my sites are on a vps ... he forgot i am a webhost in first place xD )

hamachi doesnt protect you from attacks it is convenient to keep things private ... however a public hamachi network allows anyone to join ... 4 or 5 attackers connected to your hamachi network and viola ddos .... or ... just one attacker with large amounts of bandwith viola dos .....
not to mention vulnerable to local area exploits and man in the middle attacks
