Rainbow Database, Problem When Wanna Add Item Or Any Quest

Hello People,

I need some help. im using rainbow database and why when i want to add any new quest or any new weapons and armor? the quest doesnt work, also i cannot equip the new weapon and new armor? Please help me.

When you have an error , basically what idle said you need to provide more details about what your encountering and if someone doesnt answer one of your friggin posts does not mean to go post it again ! now please read The all things guide!

Actions show up if you have a "[GM]" or "[PM]" tag in your character name, all other users won't be able to see this.
As for the inventory if you want "use" aka "Destroy item after right-clicking it" you must either use a "Delete Action Type" sorry but I can't remember if that's 501 or 502 but I suggest looking at the Action Type Definition found on epvp. Or you can use a specific "monopoly" aka "type" of item that will automatically destroy after right clicking, be careful with this type though as it will destroy the item regardless of whether the action script is successful...

Sorry I missread your first question.
The first line shows up because your NPC's "TaskX" where X is either number between 0 and 9 (again I could be wrong with numbers been a long time). However most commonly only Task0 is used. You need to change the Task0 to point to an entry in cq_task that will then point to an entry in your cq_action table which will be the id you want to start from.

its really kinda pointless to try and help this guy try and debug something unless you intend to do it completely for him (after two or three times doing it for him I gave up,.... good luck)

it seems he can only copy and paste what other people say

you can guess at what a relatively reasonable person would do, but chances are youre not gonna see the problem until 3 or 4 posts down the line when he actually pastes his action here (and then you will have to fix it and paste it back to him or he wont know what to do)

purhaps you could take note of this and save them the trouble of waiting and post your db entries here so they can actually see what the problems are and help you with them instead of wasting
time being dramatic about the fact that it doesnt work

The table cq_npc creates NPCs for your server.
One of fields "Task0" links to cq_task

The table cq_task is a lists of "action callers" which are referenced by their ID, and call actions based on the field id_next or id_nextfail. id_next will be called if the player fullfills the requirements set out by other fields in the cq_task entry, like "***" or "pkpoints" otherwise it will call id_nextfail
both these fields link to the id field in the cq_action table


So
cq_npc.Task0 -> cq_task.id with cq_task.id_next -> cq_action.id

yknow the reason why people treat you like you're stupid is because you act like it
if you would post in a semi intelligent manner and actually look for the solution to your problem in a logical way before posting here that might not happen as much.
when you make threads like this without doing anything on your own behalf first or even trying to figure out what the problem is let alone how to solve it
then that hurts your reputation in general and makes you look bad as a developer.
as well
associating yourself with another persons account/server/site etc the day they no longer post here. It would be hard to consider you not to be them or at least working with them. and as such it would be logical to expect you to be asking for the same things as them and in the same nonsense ways

now if you had made this post showing your error and the actions for the two npcs as well as the tasks and cq_npc entries for them and stated your problem clearly maybe you might have gotten a more reasonable response
and discussion of that instead of some vague or irritated response, because no one knows whats wrong with your npc with the information you have given

most likely you have a task or action id that points to the action for the npc for composing near the cage .... or you have an error in your action for the npc for whatever youre trying to make and it is near that npc and the server picks it up because it doesnt know what to do with it. or you put the task/action over the top of the task/action for your composer

point is no one can know with the half screenshot you provided and no other data concerning it ....

changing databases and trying to add it to multiple places not understanding what you are even doing is also a really stupid thing to do and even more stupid to mention to other people that you had done that because it has no relevence on your problem as all of the actions/tasks/npcs/ might be completely different in any one of these databases and it doesn't take much more than common sense to figure that out.

lol how exactly do you manage your server without knowing anything about it? must be really easy to cheat there lol

just wait a little while pretty soon all these errors you keep making will start using up your servers resources and filling up your hard drive

then what will you do? most likely make a thread here about your server not working and you cant figure out why

like i said. im new in here. i don't know everyone yet. so how come you can said me scammer. I respect all EO Developers in this forums. im asking because. i got a problem only in rainbow database. but in other database my quest or the item work perfectly lol ..
