[HELP]Chat In Client Dont Work

Okay here is the problem when i am in the game and i try to talk to someone. I am not able to see it or the whispers boxes dont work as well. The only thing that works is the Broadcast message. Dose anyone no if this is all client side or if it is database side. An if so can you please show or tell me which files i need to fix. The client i am using is the old client before bp. So this should give you some idea of what client.
Also when i am trying to knight the eudemons on the round table they will not night. So i am thing there is something missing in the database but not sure which table this is. Or if it is client side can someone tell me where to go to fix this.

Alright so first of all, let's give you a little lesson. *(Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong)*
So first of all. EVERY EUDEMON SERVER HAS BATTLE POTENCY.
If yours is not showing (no potency) than you are using PHDEV database which is pretty much the beta of EO which is Pre-Manny, Pre-Pally, and most importantly PRE KNIGHT SYSTEM.
So let's take a look at it a little more.
If your using something so old, you shouldn't even be able to use the Knight's button. It shouldn't even be there. Which means you're using an incorrect version of the client.
It kinda reminds me of the issue I fixed with my CrazyTao client.

Secondly, take a look at your itemtype.dat/cq_itemtype
phdev doesn't have Official 1-11 in the itemtype/db.
It don't work. If your using Paladin I'd love a copy :P
If you do have Knights of the Round Table in your server, and it's the correct version, than check your cq_itemtype and make sure that it allows your eudemons 107XXX-108XXX to be appointed.
1 = 11
2 = 21
3 = 31
and so on and so forth.

Thanks i fixed the problem. An you where right about the knight system.

for future reference:
deleting the chat logs in your client will fix most chat problems at least temporarily until you can see the problem
