Strange IP setting change

Ok, I've had this server (running Revo DB) running on my old computer, but had to move it to a virtual machine (due to mysql problems).

I've had it working on the LAN with the 192.*.*.202 IP on the network, no sweat. Last night, I started going thru the process of change everything to the WAN(internet) IP.

I changed everything, and put it behind a DMZ for a test, but when I start MsgServer, it connects to AccServer ok... except AccServer sees shows:
Code:
add info of server Phobos, ip:192.*.*.1, port 5816
On the virtual machine, I have the firewall off, and it's in the DMZ, so the router isn't blocking ports. I also have the connection bridged, and all the IPs seem to be set correctly (and NONE of them say 192.168.1.1).

What it seems to be doing it returning the connection to the computer as soon as it hits the modem, rather than ever hitting the web, does anyone have any ideas? This happens once once I change the IP in ProShell.exe, but when I change it back, it goes back to showing:
Code:
add info of server Phobos, ip:192.*.*.202, port 5816
on AccServer, and works on the LAN again, so it's bridged successfully...

Anyone know how I can ensure it actually hits the internet before returning and connecting to AccServer? I'm not sure the best DNS settings, so think that might help...

thanks

Looks Like you are using 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.202 as the IP, Try actually setting your IP to your config files.
To find your IP go to something like
ipmonkey.com
If its all correct, your config should look like this
Code:
server start...
kernel init ok.
framework ok.
Server2(4X.X.X.115) login succeed.
add info of server Server2, ip:4X.X.X.115, port:5816
Server2 login assure.
Server security I have to change the IP.

Thanks for the response, but as I said, I already did that, and know how it should look, which is why I'm saying I know there's something wrong.
Also, like I said, there's no 192.* left in any of my files.
When I change it to a LAN address, it works perfectly for anyone on my router.
It shows the LAN IP (192.168.1.202) when I set it to use that, but the second I change it to my WAN IP, it never seems to actually leave the network, and connects from the router.
I basically comes down to a windows or VMWare setting, because I know all the EUDEMON config files are 100% set.

I'm about ready to hex the database connection files to run the programs on my server machine, and have them connect to the MySQL on the VM... I can't run that MySQL directly on my server, because I need a newer PHP for my site.

I really don't feel like doing all that though, and would probably sooner drop EO altogether... any idea why it would only loop to the router?
All ports are open, or MsgServer wouldn't even be connecting to Accserver.
I know, because I closed the ports as a test...

ProShell.exe changes shell.cfg and shell.dat. That's the point at which it changes the message from the proper IP to 192.168.1.1. I can change Shell.ini and config.ini, and that doesn't happen, it's once I change things in ProShell.

AccServer/config.ini

For GameServer

Config.ini

Shell.dat

Make sure you check all those, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR OUTSIDE IP NOT YOUR WIRELESS AREA NET WORK IP.
To help you understand, Correct me if I am wrong HIO

You showed Shell.dat, which is automatically edited by ProShell.exe.

I'm suspicious of my shell.ini, which you forgot to post... lol.
I changed:
[AccountServer]
Code:
ACCOUNT_IP			=24.112.38.58
ACCOUNT_PORT			=9865
And am not sure if that's supposed to be localhost or WAN IP.
The rest, like I said, I verified already, and just verified again to be safe.

I also moved it from my virtual machine, to my windows7 machine...
It's still doing the same thing, showing 192.168.1.1 for the Server IP.

In case I'm stupid, and overlooking something, here's my configs.
But like I said, I've been thru and edited them probably over 100x by now.

AccountServer/config.ini

Thanks for the response...
I'm trying to download a new server pack, in case something got corrupted in one of mine.

I ran the same server files on the virtual machine AND 2 different computers, still connects as the gateway ip, and it's DMZ'd.

Note that I even changed the dedicated IP address to the machine it was running on to *.148, in case the router couldn't function properly with IPs over *.151 (some can't).

The part I'm confused about though, is why would it work when I set it for lan
(over IP 202), but not when connecting to WAN? -_-

Update: I tried downloading a fresh copy of the server.

Configured all the files the same as before, and still get the same ***** error...
Seriously, what's going? I'm pretty sure it's not the router, because I'm almost certain I used it doing this about a year ago... but it does work when just on LAN.

More ideas please?

Edit: Fixed.
Apparently, in the process of trying to get it work on this computer, my ISP randomly changed my IP address... which has been the same for the past 5 months or so.

For those who have problems: here's how I troubleshot it (if the other advice fails ONLY!):
I tried to plug the PC directly into the modem, and kept my firewall off.
Unplugged and replugged the modem, to make sure it was synchronized to the computer.
Tried running the programs, got error saying it couldn't find AccountServer.
Took a look again at Ipchicken.com to make sure my IP was correct.
Since my unplugging my router, Ipchecken detected a new IP.
Switched line back to router WITHOUT rebooting modem.
Checked internet (successful).
Ran programs (successful this time, YAY!)

So never leave your IP being changed out of the picture...
My IP has been the same for the past 5 months, even though I reset the router a good dozen times before tonight, and it always stayed the same.
