Actually its you who missed the point.

I am NOT after someone to do this thing for me, nor do I want it. What i was trying to point out was-
1-All newbies come in here and ask the same tired questions that people rarely answer. They would welcome something like this.
2-As rex kindly pointed out and everyone else didnt, it takes more than a few edits, emphasis on EDITS, to make a server. It takes an owner with vision, ability, the internet, the computer and most of all, the talent, to make any server a good server.
3-It would be nice if all the top coders in here actually worked together on something. Rather than each one add something every now and then to this forum.

I'm sorry for obviously not being able to read between the lines on what you posted. But in the end, my point still stands. Why should the people who actually spent the time learning, release the stuff to the public for free. Just so others could rip it and take the credit.

As I said before, I doubt the ones who DO know what they're doing is going to sit back and join a group of people just to release stuff for others to take.

So you are claiming that i do not know what i do ?

i released a few things
i even made a control panel (now it is for free exept a few parts)

i also release other stuff that does not provide any damage

the most fun part is that even if it is explained that not every one know what to do

a example is the batch file to do automaint
it need some tweaking ( as they say that taskkill is not good ) so it need some tweaking

and i am sure that there are still a lot of people who do not know how to use it

a other example of a nice release
who is still using NETSTAT to check the online players ??
why using NetStat and run a local apache server when you can do the same by taking the info from the database ... but again not every1 is a coder so i released that part to (encoded and avaible on my script site )
probaly it is also released here somewhere on the forum or a kinda same version when i was creating it and people dint like it that i encoded it

Who does know why it need to be mysql 4.0 ?? only the people who know what do to

so i released a easy website package , that contains 3 things
apache + mysql + website
what does that harm the community or the developers ?? it just safe you a bunch of time to search for the old mysql .. to search for a template or register page ( md5 salted ) and to install a good version of wamp that contains the settings it needs

so that are releases i am happy to work on , it makes things easyer and it helps a lot of people but people who does not know how to make a server can still NOT use it ... and it wont help them to make the server easyer (thats what they call tool packages .. contains all the needed stuff to set it up but it does not set it up for you )

Then for the release part ,
we do release some stuff that can be usefull , but not everything get released ( like working with a droprate not in cq_drops or like ep code reward on login after donation )

There are so many more things that are not released to the public , and why not ??? thats what makes it unic

what server sends out a broadcast when a pm logs in ?? i guess no server ( we add it later )

what server anounce if a event starts ?? so far i am aware no servers that does that (atleast not the new servers )

where do you see a release of a WORKING ( custom ) pk tournement ?? or was the pk tournement fixed in the time i was not on this forum ?? because then i am eager to get that fix as we wrote our own because it coulnd be fixed (atleast for our database version)

well , can go on and on over this , but i am sure you get my point
things get released , but not all intresting things get released
some things are better to keep for your own then releasing it

then for the ripping and credit stealing part ... welcome to the IT world
to give a great example for that part
i wrote a payment gateway for whmcs
some user buyed the gateway and is now selling it for a higher price

he can do with it what he want (its encoded) but i am sure he is not the only 1 who dit this
do you see them providing me credit for making the script ?? some of them do and others do not ... thats the life of IT

if you like , i can explain why stuff need to be released and why people release stuff
but it going be a long story
the long story in short -> publicity / fame / making a name / getting reconised / gain rep / people start to know you / people ask things to you .... and a lot more that it can provide

ofcourse if you are just stealing from others then it can have a differen effect , but i am sure you know already the biggest part

anyway
before we go to mutch offtopic , we both got our answer and it is up to the reader to deside what they like to do or to provide a other vieuw on this post

Thank you for pointing out what I put. The reason for that is there are only a few people who to me have the knowledge that's required. funhacker,nooneatall, Soul, hio and Eurion to name a few. Everyone else either just modifies, or copies. I've yet to try your server. When the time comes, if I think that what you know is enough, I will gladly add your name to my list, but until then sorry You will be put into the maybe can do something list

That is true, but out of all the newer servers, do we see anything that even closely resembles learning new things by looking at the current ones?

I already started something like this, and no it isn't scrapped, just on hold until acme is back on its feet.

or just look for threads made by me. It only mainly had a very advanced item type editor but it was well on its way.
