I am assuming you mean the green light doesnt come on, but rather its a red light?
If so, this may help.
go into the hard drive, locate the windows folder open it scroll down to locate a file called ''my''
delete it
restart the system
That may do the job for you.
But then again I am so often wrong it defies belief or so the world tells me lol
