Alright i have been trying to set up my website for the last week, im using the Elite4Demon template but every time i think i have it right....it doesn't work at all, if i could get help from a pro on this problem i would be greatful

alright, i open the config.php fix all that to my server spec's, then i put it inside xamp htdoc then go to 127.0.0.1 and it dosent show the the elite4demons template thats on the Updated daily thread, all it is doing for me is showing a bland page without anything on it

try using wamp its alot easier to use trust me.
secondly are you running apache? maybe thats your problem?

if you are putting files into htdocs folder in xampp and it still has the default folders in it all you will get is the xampp splash .... u can remedy this two ways adding another folder in the htdocs to put your website in for testing (ie: c:/xampp/htdocs/website) in which case you will have to go to localhost/website alternately u can simply delete everything in the htdocs folder and just put your website in there either way will work..
note: the elite4demons site has an installer built into it you can go to by going to yoursite.com/install

make sure your apache is START then check website config file.

If it shows xampp page, delete everything in htdocs and paste the website files again. Also, i recommend wampserver; because it has a newer version of PHP and mysql.
