Only other way to have an illegal hack, is to edit the game files in a debugger, like Ollydbg, which breaches copyright laws.

Except in the eu where the distrubition and bypassing of copy protection.......packing protection removal/changing data is completely legal thanks to loop holes (on exe's anyways). PIRACY isnt but the tampering is allowed as long as you own a copy of the product or it is free (F2P).Though if you are american even tampring with any protection seems to carry jail time.............america the land of the free, well if you are a corporate giant lol
