Help with Mass Spawn & a few other questions!

Okay, this should be pretty simple. I pretty much know everything about hacking with CE (I know I dont make my own scripts, so dont start flaming just cause I said I know almost everything), I can update the offsets every time it is needed and I've never started spam threads like "omg, my bypass isn't working" cause I know Neb works very hard for us to hack mindlessly.

Anyway, after vaccing a few hours I got my sum to 60 (pretty quick, thanks to my new PC, yay for me!) and wanted to try out mass spawn (I know oread/yoshi are useless now) with crespo C,B and A. Sadly, I've never used CRC bypass. All I always do is: start rexignation, browse unpacked.exe (have no idea whats the difference between the unpacked and the original dekaron.exe, would be cool of someone enlighten me), launch the game, attach the engine and open my CT.

After reading a few topics (specially the four topics Kakkarot is always telling people to read) I've come the conclusion that I suck at this and have no clue on how to bypass CRC. I know rexignation got this little box I'm supposed to check to bypass CRC check, but everytime I check the box, no matter if I use rexignation + unpacked or the original dekaron.exe, the game never starts (more likely it starts, but then it stops working).

After reading for a few more minutes, I saw that Kakkarot was updating the "CRC" so I download the files he posted in the thread and got this folder called "CRC" full with numbered files.

After reading even more I found out something about shadow.txt, then I realised I wouldnt figure all this CRC stuff by myself and decided to post this.

How do I bypass CRC so I can use Mass Spawn?

Where do I put the folder "CRC" posted by Kakkarot?

Do I have to edit the shadow.txt file for CRC to work?

Whats the difference between the original dekaron.exe and the unpacked executables (unpacked.exe)?

Bypass CRC with reXIGN

CRC folder should go in 2moons/bin

Change PackIO from 1 to 0

Unpacked is mainly most helpful to people who are trying to snoop around and make new hacks. It is easier to use unpacked because of the EP and because you can actually read and understand the code easier (at least, that is my take on unpacked vs packed)

Thanks sachamo, but after all, the client doesnt respond when I run it through dekaron.exe and I get an error when I run it through the unpacked.exe.

Got the lastest CRC from Kakkarot and pasted it inside my 2moons' bin folder, edited the shadow.txt PackIO to 0 and, as I already said, tried rexignation with both, the original.exe and the unpacked.exe.

Two things to take in count, the client runs normally when I dont check the Bypass CRC box and I can use CE hacks normally; and the other thing, is that I'm using Windows 7 64Bits and I got dekaron installed on 86bits. Don't know if my windows version might be messing something up.

Any idea why the client keeps failing?


ninja-edit: By the way, I havent unpacked anything yet, I wanna make sure the CRC works before I unpack my data packs, so I dont start getting invalid cleint. I dont need to have the packs unpacked for the CRC to work properly, right?

Uhm, oh well... if I somehow mess up, reinstalling wont kill me... but updating to lastest version of the game will. That wait is too long for me and the TV sucks at the moment.

It's kinda easy to do. If you search in the releases section you can find many tutorials and stickys about how to setup your own crc folder (Kakkarot's thread even has a one-click crc folder for you!).
Basicly just run a legit client (without any unpacked data in the data folder and with the original shadow.txt file there). Then use the data unpacker. Then do the edits and enjoy them.
Also, don't be afraid if the game will run so slowly once you start using it, it's just normal.

Ok, now I've got a question that pertains to this as well.

Does this CRC Bypass work for the GlobalDK files?

Sweet! I had to leave the game running even after it said "not responding" for a few minutes for it to "respond" again, lol.

So far I've done this:


1)Installed game and updated to lastest version.
2)Started ReXIGNation, checked CRC, browsed dekaron.exe and launched the game.
3)Now I got this new folder called CRC inside my bin folder.

So what now, do I edit the .csv files first or after editing the shadow.txt?

Do I have to edit the shadow.txt PackIO to 0 or is it just pointless?

After editing the .csv files, do I have to keep checking the ReXIGNation's CRC box everytime before I lauch the game or just the first time to get the CRC folder?

It would rock if someone could answer each of these questions carefully.

You can edit the files whenever you want before opening the game, doesn't matter if before or after you change shadwo file.
Yes, you have to edit shadow to 0.
You have to check it everytime.
