it depends on your estimate how many players will play game on your dedicated server. But my game server hosts about 700 players / day and my specs are:
1x Intel Quad-Core Xeon E3-1230
Location: Los Angeles
RAM: 32 GB
2x240 GB SSD
BANDWIDTH - 5 GBPS
Price $390 / 100TB / month.
Provider: 10gbps.io
They also provide 10gbps bandwidth so it depends on your needs, but I think specs above is enough for your dedicated as well. Currently I am thinking about to change my bandwidth to 10gbps. Plus data centers in LA are really close to Asia locations.
Let me know if you would to like to know more information about my server or 10gbps.io + they offer 5-day trial for $99 which I used and this was reason why I migrated there.
I would totally avoid OVH or FDC, they seem cheap but if you would like to change or repair something on your server it takes at least 2-3 days!!! I got angry when it happened to me (was probably reason why I moved to 10gbps.io.)
