Game Guard back up & running?

I keep 4 subfolders in my Acclaim folder:

2Moons - original
2Moons - original unpacked
2Moons - original CE hacks
2Moons - unpacked csv hacks

When I want to use one, I modify the folder name to just read 2Moons, then use the launcher. This way I can log out & back in quickly to swap from one to ther other.

Well, today I tried both hack folders, and each time GG updated itself, fixing the two files that allowed the previous work-around. Did this happen to anyone else? Is there a way to stop this? I figure there is because I still see other people vaccing in Python... ??

Meanwhile I'm back to the usual grind.

make sure you have the GGK launcher and the 2 GG files in the gamegaurd folder. running the GGK launcher will force GG to not update because it won't run

What do you mean by the GG launcher? I have a Launcher file, but I thought it was to launch 2Moons in general, not GG.

If you're using GameGuardKiller you have to download the files in the GameGuard rev1222 archive and the newest launcher (the 3rd archive). If you're using the launcher from the rev1222 archive the GameGuard will update and you'll fail .

For my hacks I am just using CE

But I am only doing a few things

vac, nagro, wall, speed, pot, and zoom

the others i cant get em to work.

I was using unpacked, but now I dont need to.

What I neeed to know is am I at extra risk for not using unpacked or GGkiller?

well, the reason your hacks won't work is because the offsets are different in different launchers. Update your offsets for the launcher you're using currently.

Unpacked is just for people who use olly and want to make a CRC bypass or stuff like that.

Not using GGK is a bad idea
