Introduction / Hello thread, with 2 questions

Hi everyone. First off, big thanks to 6Drako9, L.e.v.i.a.t.h.a.n., and InstantDeath for their threads, as well as the authors of the threads that they linked to (and authors of the tools/tuts/etc).

A little bit about me: I've been into RPGs since I read The Lord of the Rings in 8th grade, and have been using computers since about 1984. I played D&D when you had to use paper, pencil, and dice. I played Zork and downloaded games from ASCII-only BBS's, and my first computer was a ColecoVision Adam. Those of you old enough to understand everything I just said will appreciate that I'm no noob. Of the rest of you NOT old enough to understand everything I just said .... well, half of you probably could out-hack me because I've been out of the game for a long time - prior to this week I haven't used a hex editor since about 1990 - but hopefully you'll understand that I respect your skills, and you'll respect that I'm no noob.

I got out of gaming simply beacuse I know I get addicted to it. I'm goal oriented, and when I start a quest, I'll chase it till it's done. I made the mistake of downloading 2Moons about 3-4 months ago, and played my main character legit all the way through lvl 82 before deciding things were getting impossibly hard, and deciding to see if it's any easier with a few hacks running. I've come to find out that it's not all that much easier even with hacks... seems the best use for them is to get an extra boost when plvling a new character. Anyway, I digress.

I downloaded the tools & played with them, starting with CE ... took about a day and a half to get to the point where I was able to fly easily through that stuff. Then I tried unpacking & editing csv files (which I find easier beacuse in the last few years I've gotten to be great with Excel). I've re-done all my CE hacks using csv files, and added 1 or 2 more that I hadn't used in CE. But there are 2 questions I have that I can't find answers to. (Mods, I saw the other sections said NO QUESTIONS but this one didn't - if this belongs in another section just let me know). Here's where I'm stuck:

1. I've done the zoom hack, it's working. But when I zoom out only some of the screen loads. Not sure how to explain it except to say that with my zoom the way it is, I *could* see farther, but there's some other variable I'm missing that is telling the game to only load the map for x distance from my character. I could swear I saw a thread about this a day or two ago, but I can't find it now. I'd appreciate if someone could post a link to it.

2. For vaccing, I know in CE you can either insert code or search for an offset to edit the number of mobs that will follow, but I can't find where that field is located in the csv files... anyone know? I'm referring to this thread: () ... in the thread it's the Info Section, purple 50 he refeerrs to. Where is that in the csv files?

Ok, I think that's all I'm stuck on at the moment. Again, thanks for all the tuts guys.

EDIT: I just remembered another question ... I'm looking to make the vacced mobs stay closer to me instead of running out of AOE range. Like the first question, I think I saw this somewhere and can't find it now, so if someone can post a like I'd appreciate it.

hey :P, saying you are or aren't a noob makes no difference to whether people will help you or not. like im a noob but people still help me, but if i started 7alK1Ng l1K3 7h15 people probably would just tell me to stfu XD. (yes i fail at trying to use 1337 talk XD)

for question one im not sure what you mean XD. for number two you see how each part is separated by a comma well each comma is like the separator for each column. for the third question the link you gave, it's shown in there how to make mobs closer to you. its in the dark green.

EDIT: you say you know how to use CE hacks, well just copy the CE vac to the .csv files.

Yeah, I know what the commas are for. I'm asking which csv file those values are located in because I can't find them. They're not in the monster.csv file as far as I can tell. (I'm talking about these: "2341,4,12,18,6,2000,2000,1200,1000,0,0,0,50,5,0,4,50,0,
0,0,0,0,0,18,10,0,2,20,10,5,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1" )

The dark green values in that thread are the delay times, which is a measurement of time. I'm looking for a variable that is a measurement of distance.

Um... I will, when I find out which csv file I need to edit.

You're looking for Info.csv . You can find that in the data/share/ai/ path .

.....(This is Me) I got tired of helping people , so I released a Thread on how to do it and Now People still need my help. Now all of a Sudden i'm getting random PM's for .CT's and 1 Click Hacks People want me to send them when if they just searched and used there brain they would not be asking me. That's probably one of the most common reasons why people get ****** off while on forums.

Yeah i agree with u bagipower some ppl will yell at anyone (use to be me, but i changed XP there were threads made about me XP XP) but ur post dosint make sense (and yes sometimes random PMs are annoying)

i know, but my point was stating whether you are or aren't a noob makes no difference to replies you'll get back. what does make a difference is if you haven't used search yet, use 1337 talk, flame, double post/make multiple topics of the same thing, etc.

well if i remember correctly, the movedelay (i think its called that) is what you edit for how close mobs can stay to you.

Shh It made tons of Sense. ^.^ , Are you always on Waidas whenever I reply to you or somebody while your online you happen to find me and once I refresh page theres a new comment posted by you. btw I got my bagi Lv.89 I Stopped Lvling since I am lvling a friends account to 105 for lots of dil ^.^ Really easy. Actually lvling it like 2x Faster then my Bagi. Aqua 1-45 In about 40 Mins cause I was lazy. 45-59 Requies Boss Spawn. AFK Lvling of Course. Currently close to 60. Lvling atm.

@ Instant - thanks, that's what I needed to know. I saw your reply last week and got wrapped up in digging through the files, figured I'd come back when I got things figured out better. Turns out I have them figured out a LOT better and actually have something to contribute to the forum that I don't think has been posted yet anywhere on the net ... used the search tool here as well as Google and nothing came up ... so ... is the [Release] tag for software/code only or also for .csv stuff? Or should I post it as a [Tut]? I suppose I should search to see if there's a sticky explaining the rules on that, but I need to go to an appt ... if there is a thread with rules pertaining to that stuff, if anyone can drop a quick link to it I'd appreciate it. If not, I'll look for something like that later tonight.

No problem, I was just teasing. So I looked and didn't find any guidelines about posting tuts or releases ... so can someone tell me what constitutes a release? As I said, I have info about editing the 2Moons CSVs that hasn't been posted yet.
