WinHex-Adding Slot for Extra Value
Lately ive been working on a few mods for my data.pak using winhex. ive found out a lot and can do a variety of stuff. the thing i need to know is how to add an extra slot so i can insert a larger number for a value. for example i want to change the AI for a blaverus. currently i can only change this from 1-9 (single digit). is there a way so that i can make this AI value so that its 10,23,or anything else other than a single digit number by editing in WINHEX? Just asking the more experienced with Winhex. please and thanks.

that wouldnt work.. i have tried it with a nunviper.
after change buying price to 10.000.000 the weapon became unvisible xD
its new..

im pretty sure it does work because you can edit the AI but theres no extra bytes or whateve to add another digit. all i need to do is add another digit using Winhex and im not sure how to do that

okok i had that idea long time befor him.. so i edited the price, so i got 1 dil for a 60k weapon.. i thought: **** npc get out of my life.
so i didnt tried out to sell for more money or slots or others.. 2 days ago i tried it.. but now the weapon was invesible.. i think the gms changed something?

Ok correct me if I am wrong, but aren't you two talkiing about two very different situations? He is talking about changing AI value and your talking about weapon prices lol. Anyway I think what you would need to do is remove a byte from another value that you dont mind removing, then adding in a "zero byte" to the ai value that you want to make double digits and simply editing the now double digit value to what you want. It doesnt need to stay zero, thats just what the function calls it in winhex. I dont know if it would work, but I think I am correct on the process to attempt this.

yeah lo he confuses me darkwang  .
but i tried to add a zero byte and what that did was add "."
you cange change the "." to a number so that the AI value is 99 (example).
when i did this i went to start the game and 2moons doesnt even load!
gonna try this again to make sure this isnt just a one time problem.
if this doesnt work i have no idea what to do. probably gonna end up overwriting or delteing a "0" value.

omg is it so hard?
- set winhex to inplace mode
- remove one byte from monster lp (look before with monstereditor and compare which is the right value)
- add with copy and paste any number to the ai value so u have 2 bytes for ai
thats it

if the game closed itself, you mostly likely edited something wrong or even more likely didnt keep things linear. Make sure you add just as many bytes as you take away.

hmmmm i havent been trying to hex this game yet been playin legit so far... but if its ne thing like the last game i played i may be able to make a skill speed hack (skills attack fast not reg attack duh)

that's what i'm wondering. I know what you're getting at...maybe try and delete a block from like....npc dialouge and add into the follow target...i dont know but im stuck with 9 mobs also so if you figure it out plz let me know
