not compatible
only mssql 2000 with sp4 or mssql 2005.
also no versions of mysql compatible

lol?
08 works as well

but why choosing 08? the resource consumption of 2000 and 2008 is the same as windows 2000 and windows vista/7

stick to 2000. it's enough.

why dont use the ferrari if its for free?

btw i think proto means mssql 2008, not myssql 2008 (which doesnt exist))

edit:
silk have you any sources that 2000 needs less ressources than 2008?

you can scan the databases for cross version compatability

aslong as the used commands/datafields from dekaron haven't been deprecated or changed you should be ok.

however, there's no real argument to use anything above 2005

i run on 2005 just for the replication to the backup dbserver 2000 works fine asswell asslong as u know what you're doing
