hi can some1 can help my with backup making i what reinstall my os and i need make my dk server backups

from mssql right click on db then choose all tasks--->back up database.
Make sure you change the directory and file name as what it will save to. Just make a new folder and in backup for location choose that folder and name it something like dkdbbackup.bak

Also make sure you choose complete db backup instead of partial.

if u are using the VM, shutdown the machine in vmware console
and zip/rar or just copy the entire VM-folder

i'd advice to rar it since it allocates alot of discspace that isnt actually 'in use'

i am dont use VM but still tnx

you can also automate them by making a batch file that uses

tsql.exe
gzip.exe
ftp.exe

to make the backups
zip them with a password
ftp them to your private webspace or another server
