yes there has been couple threads about that and the only thing is that you will need a static ip as there are 2 kind of ip's.
Static/Dyamic
Static is where your ip stays same for example 173.281.39.21 and it will always be that same ip. All business companies, webhosts, dedicated pcs have static ip.
Dynamic is where your ip changes from time to time so it can be daily, weekly, monthly or random times. So your public (Wan( ip will keep changing). Almost all home networks have dynamic ips.
Remember that it is all about the public ip(also known as WAN), this is where people connect to when they play your server.
Ok now can u make server non hamachi if u have dynamic ip? sure why not but there are consquences to it. As your ip changes periodically you will need to update your servers loginlist.csv and channelist.csv everytime your ip changes so people connect to it.
For example: your public ip is 173.281.39.21 and the login/channellist in your share folder and clients share folder is the same ip so people connect to your server. Now your ip changed to 173.79.241.30 or anything else then you need to update those files from the server's share and client's share everytime it changes like that and if your ip changes everyday you will have to hastle and change ip a lot and your server wont be stable at all.
So to make it non hamachi static ip is the best solution as it will never change and you dont need to update those files at all. To make your ip static it depends from the provider of your service. Like for my provider I have a option in my internet's admin panel where I can set my ip to be either static or dynamic without extra cost. But most or a lot of providers charge more for static ip's i think. SO you better ask your internet provider about that.
Above all DEDICATED is the best way to go for a successful server as they have better internet connections.
