Dekaron server

hi
im new here my name is jochem,and live in the netherlands.... what so ever i can do allot of things with the pc.

i've done a week research now on all kinds of websites but with out succes.
how ever i found i guide to get mij own server running Private server. but unfortunate i have not that great skills in sql. i followed all the steps but when in restore the data base its asking me to get a database from "account, billing, cash, character" some how i found my way arround that to get some plane files by back upping the files first and then restore them (all links are brroken on tutorials as far i searched for it) is it like you can make them yourself or is it like you have to have them in order to get it running

but it solved itself when i restarted the whole thing no errors like ??????? idk what ever right so i keep going to till this happends

remember i did this all by meself without knowledge of it... so after that all i just tryed to start the server.. but like you guys can tell allready it wont start sessionserver.exe ... so with all my hopes i just tryed to log in in dekaron and with the sa account it just says "no internet connection"

im willing to pay real people to just help me out (dont give me stuff i just tryed my best to tell my whole story maybe some is willing to do the same where to look where i can learn more etz.)

There are guides that still show exactly how to set a server up.
Then there are sticky threads here with working links for a3 and a9.....
The tools and info are there to use.

As for connecting to your server, if hosted on same machine set i.p's to 127.0.0.1 in clients loginlist.csv and chanellist.csv

ive spend now 3 days straight up hanging in the database and more then 18 hours in this new threads that i found. i just need some help tho. i just dont wanne give up cause i mist some little thing ...

Creating a Dekaron Server

• Dedicated or Home Server (Hamachi or Static IP or NO-IP DNS in ROuter like Fritzbox)
• Installing for A3 / A5 / A6 / A7 Windows Server 2003 Standart
• Installing MSSQL 2000 (windows server 2003) + MSSQL SP4 (IMPORTANT), then reboot
• Create Database: account , cash, character,billing (A3/A5/A6/A7)
• Rightclick on listed Database -> All task -> Restore Database -> From Device -> Set Database Folders. Done
• Configure config files: Dekaron , Session , Cast ,Login ,Msg and replace the IP with your Server IP
• Configure Share Files: Channellist.csv , Serveranlist.csv, loginlist.csv .... and replace IP with your Server IP
• Install Webserver
• Configure an Launcher.
• Lets go.

30 - 45 Minutes ready for Play. ;-)

some corrections:

there are only two (2) file sets. Either a2 or a9. there's no a3/4/5/6/7.

you forgot about setting up an account in mssql, default is sa but you need to set the password for it and then edit cast and sessionserver configs.
that part is ESSENTIAL and it will NOT work without this step. Not a chance.

edit:
you wont be able to log in unless sessionserver works correctly.
Loginserver only relays the data to sessionserver, which holds everything within itself. if that program doesnt work, client wont connect correctly.
You said you tried using 'sa' in game, it will not work since 'sa' is the default admin account in mssql. you need to put that in cast and session config files along with the password you set during setup.
then you need to add an account to the database and it should work.

webserver and launcher arent necessary. it's only for releasing updates. if you're only running a server for yourself and/or friends, then you can just launch th game from bin folder by double clicking dekaron.exe

thanks everyone for the help, i've done the server and its amazing. its not really hard you just have to read allot and you can make it easyer with some tools... sa account whas my account that i put in the database so i logged in the game with sa....

now im wondering, i found this a9 files with 11classes and databases everything but is there a tut about how to set that up or is it like simulare to the one i set up already ? i noticed that i cant run it on the sql 2000 verison XD i searched on google and it whas build on sql 2012 so i did that but really mysql databases are killing me. i can edit stuff but how to get that done. i've seen some tut about setting it up ill try it again tomorrow morning and see if the databases wanne work with the information i have now but i'm not sure haha. maybe i think to hard (i feel like that)

i just hope there is a tut about this a9 class 11. the files or on this forum but how to is harder.. i dont mind ******* everything up to get everything working that what i did with the sql 2000 one aswel. took me allot of time but thats oke.

again thanks for all the help i could get. i'll try to do my best to search all by myself. and hope i get this server done. seems like there is more fun in this dekaron business then i thought i love to do this for some reason
