[Release] Dekaron EXE Editing Tutorials

Absolutely wonderful! This is amazing. First of let me start by saying this should be pinned and kept up there for ever. With all of the things in dekaron, this is by far the most useful post I have ever seen. I have been wanting to learn exe editing and now I can start!

I hope that you continue this work. It will be very useful for everyone including myself. I would also like to ask of you one thing. "DO NOT TAKE REQUESTS!"

With taking requests it will only bore us and we will loose our focus for the task at hand. When releasing how you have been, it will keep it fresh and leave us wanting more. Builds up the suspense.

Godricc this is for exe editing tutorials, and they asked how to edit the exe to socket those 3 extra items, which requires exe editing, not just some csv editing.

as it is more usefull than your post btw, as it asks for a tutorial at the topic. Which you are basicly just saying nice job

There is not lof of thing's that people will ask, just few of these will be really great for any server. I shud donate for finished work ^^, tell me if someone is interest ^^,

Wha't i'm talking about " we are here to learn " . As tittle of topic say's . tutorials for exe editing, there shud be more tutorials i guess, i just gived a suggestion, that lot of people asking for socketable wings, pants boots, gloves.

Don't get me wrong, it's nice to learn some things that "you would want," but understand this from his end, because I have seen it a million times. He will get so bugged on requests that he wont have time to do it anymore. I simply stated that we should leave it to his random tuts so there is some excitement when coming to this post.

Thanks for you're posts but again it wasn't meant to be a downing post, it's difficult to express feelings in you're post through the internet. :P

I've added wings and rings IN THE SAME WAY to the exes to be upgradeable, and i can successfully upgrade rings , but for some reason i cant upgrade wings (i cant put the argate in the fortification window). Ofc I've added the Before/NextLevelIndex to the itemweapon.csv

i get the error "[ASSERT]Upgrade fly is NULL, level 0" when i try to upgrade wings.

(I checked 100 times the "modification 1" on the exes, and it seems to be fine, since i can upgrade rings, but for some reason not wings)

sry for the bad english.

Making the Shortcut keys to game mode A and B work would be nice as tut
And maybe an tut on how to add new weapons into the exes for the ppl that wanna add real names to their new classes weaps instead of using old ones xd

Hey HellSpider,
Everyone else that said it works are having a title like (Dekaron Extreme, Retired etc..) and that means in my eyes that they have had a little Before experience in editing exe.s. Well, I don't have a clue where to start, I really want to understand it but in my eyes there are just numbers jumping around.

Can you perhaps give me more nooby instructions like "This is how you add the plugin to OllyDBG and etc..."?

I read some about how to add the plugin, but they're talking about a plugin folder...
All I have is a folder called OllyDBG and it has these files:
*Note: I added the plugin files in there because I thought that was what I was supposed to do first.

I'll check this when I got time. I only tried the stuff with rings and necklaces, didn't expect them to have any dirty tricks for wings.

Plugins:

Options page, "Directories" list on the left.

Appearance:

Options page, "Appearance" list on the left. Sublist "Colours" and "Code Highlighting". After creating an appearance profile, rightclick any window you want to change and choose the menu "Appearance" and further submenu "Colours" and "Highlighting"

If this might help, here there are my exes

To check my modification just go to the address: 00B65000 (client.exe) and 00758000 (server.exe)

*To test them, you can add WINGS ,RING, NECK_WEAR, BRACELET, EARRING to the itemupgrade.csv to make them upgradeable (wings must be fixed).

Remember to add Before/NextItemLevel in the csv.
