need alil help at the last stage

hi guys, i used a different client and try to log into other server , i got to the screen where i can create a char, after i created a char, and try to log in, it said client version is different. wat should i do to change the client version? i already used winhex to change the client IP to the server i wanted to connect but i have no idea how to make the version fit with the server i want to connect. I wonder if anyone could help me out plz?

difference client... does it run unpacked?

if so, you can simply edit the version.ini file in your share folder. (make it match with your target server)

where to find the version from the other server?

if the other server also runs on unpacked client, you can simply copy the version.ini and overwrite it.

if it's packed, you can use winhex and search for the version info with "DEKARON,CHINA" (used by most pserver) and edit your version.ini file

ic , thanks alot Zagam, wat if i dont use unpacked and the other server also dont use unpacked, can i just use winhex to edit the version ? one more question do u know how to work sx client?

it's easier to click on that than to type THANKS XD

if your target server runs using a *packed* client:
1. unpack the friggin' data pack with an unpacker (darkinc or 2munpacker) and copy the version.ini file
2. open the data.pak with winhex and search for the value (many of the pservers use DEKARON,CHINA-*numbers* so copy those numbers to your dekaron difference version.ini)
3. pm the pserver owner and ask him to give you the darn version number.

i'm sure other members can share their knowledge if you can tell us just which server you're trying to connect to.

i used winhex to search for the version from this server data pack, and its use the same as the one data pack i have, but it still say different version , i think i must change sumthing else to have it work . but not sure wat to do kinda stuck here. i get pretty mad when i got to this stage and dont know wat else to do, ur nice enough to reply my question. I appreciate it man, but b4 i posted to ask the same question but no one seem to have any answer to this or they just didnt want to release and share their knowledge.

try using the sx client then.

i'm not really sure about dekaron difference.. client programs kinda fools you with the file names.

you do have the sx client, right??

"All u need is the sx client (includes vac/noaggro/skillhack) and change the ip´s in data/china/share loginlist and channellist.

In some servers u have to change the version.ini too (data/china/share)"

->so you basically click open both loginlist and channelist and edit the ip to that of dekaron equilibrium, then edit the version.ini if it's different then run the program(i haven't tried connecting to dekaron equilibrium, so i don't know if they have some security measures or something,)
