Can i create my own Dekaron with this spec? im still new here.

Intel Core i5 2400 3.10Ghz
8GB DDR3 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 (Dual Channel)
80gb + 500GB HDD + 160GB SSD
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560TI
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

-OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 -----> OS Windows server 2003 or 2008.

The other big question is if your internet can handle it, especially if your going to have 100+ people go on it.

You don't need a Xeon processor to run Dekaron.... it's CPU usage is minimal. Dekaron also runs just as fine on standard Windows as it does on Windows server...


@OP I would assume from the specs this is a home PC. Yes, you can run your own server on that setup and it will run just fine. What would hold you back is not the spec of the machine based on what you have, but the upload speed of your internet connection. The other issue with hosting from a home connection is the latency caused by having to go through multiple routers to a home internet connection. Dedicated server connections have less latency as they don't have to take as many "jumps" to get from the client to the server.

Also, graphics card doesn't matter for running a server. The server side application is console only, so don't need any graphics card at all. Most all dedicated servers have no dedicated graphics cards.

Its NOT recommended to run dekaron (server) on windows 7, why ?
Search indexing, and a whole of other **** that is running, you can all disabled this, and its better you do this, but you can still run on win7, but i prefer windows server 2003

When you make 1 server game online. Your server will run 24/24 . therefore, Intel Xeon is the best !

the PC is fine, the specs are fine, like has been said, the connection is the most important part, and if u are using a residential ISP you not going to get better than 10Mb upload, which is going to stop the server from sending out data to the clients (sending == uploading) so u can have the best PC made, but if your up speed is less than 100Mb then you may as well have put the server on a wal-mart PC.

and there is absolutely no difference between the xeon and the intel when running the server files, they are both overkill and will both run the game exactly the same whether your week is 7 days like most ppl's or 24 like kbaggetes
