well this is not the way to get help....insulting us...why would we help you now...everyone here who got this runing did it on theire own or with help of vdo posted on page 14...if you get can't connect to server make sure you changed all the ips in the data.pak and in the p-client connector.exe

i guesse the first question would be did u watch vdo from page 14? than i would follow with

where (what files) did you change ip's both on server and client and how meny(in each file) did you change?

and you changed it from what it was to the LAN ip of your server?

also if your server is running from a xp box the firewall should be turned off.

since the client can see the server(right) then probably it's a port issue when it actually tries to connect.

PS: socressor please edit your previous post and make it less harsh....it is not verry nice or appropriate way to ask for help....all of us here do this for fun no one gets paid or is asking to get paid but by insulting us and demanding help so harshly you make it hard for anyone to want to help and and you take the fun out of it. I mean this is not a matter of life and death so RELAX and don't spam the forum over and over asking for help

Yea I watched the video 999999XXXX times...done all things in the video...and I run my server on vm ware with windows xp sp2 home...
sql server is okay...when I start my DekaronServer.exe and waiting till dbmon.exe loaded it...it gives me this error message at the end:


I ignored this error and replaced the ips(2) in the p-server connector.exe...after that I replaced the ips(10 or more) in the data.pak with winhex...

Than I started my p-server connector.exe and took my server:


as you see...my server is there (SERVER1)
than connected to the server ...waiting till login screen...tried the login datas from the database(same as in the video ).
But only apears a fast message after I clicked : Cant connect to the server....

Any idea?

hi all. I got a problem with running the server. When i load up dbmon everything loads up with no error but when i try to lauch dekaronserver ther just pops up File .\Basis\Function.cpp Line 97 or sumthing...now i dont know how to fix that, i tried almost everything but it wont work...

yeah i got EXACTLY same problem as socressor (cannot connect to the server) all rest is ok

If you are using VMWare, add more memory to it....the error is because there is not enough memory.....

well i don't think that error should be ignored. you see the server listed because it gets that info from the lists.txt that it reads from the webserver. what i think might be the problem is that when you entered your ip in the data.pak you ended adding some numbers. this might have somehow messed it up i dont know. try with something like 192.168.1.*** to match the lenght of the original address...just the first thing that comes to mind...i know it's alot of ips to change and if someone has a better idea of what is going on by all means...all i know is that i don't get that error and it works perfectly

just for information how much ram did you give your VM?
