You won't see any writing in the exe windows, only the dbmon window.

aaaah ok cheers but now that when i load up all of the programmes the server.exe loads fully ( so it says server started in dbmon ) but then says Server.exe has stopped working :S i have Vista if that makes any difference.

Vista is okay for the client but not for the server. Try to get yourself a XP machine for the server.

OMG you serious so you mean i cant run server??? :'(

You can try using VMware to run a virtual XP machine on your Vista computer but I have never done it. Sounds like a resource hog that way.

You're not going to find a perfectly working server package anywhere. There will always be little things to correct. Be happy you have the files as none of us should really have them at all. To address your numbering system:

1. The D-shop bug is very easily fixed. It just takes a little thought and work. Almost everyone here has modified what is in their D-shop and is why you don't see too many people posting their files for you, as some of the things may not work for you and you will be faced with more bugs again.

2. I haven't ran into anyone with this wrong PCclass problem and is a direct result of you trying to get Aloken to work. It's great that you are trying but the server files do not support it and never will without custom programming.

3. Again, unsupported Aloken.

4. Same as # 3. Some people might have Aloken working but it's not without their own blood and sweat to get it working. I also hear they have their own share of bugs.

You really have to sit down and think "Can I handle this?" before getting involved with these pserver packages, because they WILL require work and knowledge. People are here to help and share but no one is going to hand out everything. I commend you for wanting to get involved with a project like this but please don't complain when things don't work. Just keep trying and people will be more willing to help as they see your own progress.

Ok guys, I have searched every single post and thread to find my problem and haven't found it, so I figured I could post in here as for I have seen so many people with this problem and no answer. Ok here I go.


All my stuff in my data base has been corrected as in I have went through and made the account,billing,cash,character databases, iv restored them and edited all the config files in the server folder to all the right ones and I can run all the cmd shells and now it comes to the Session server.exe crashing, something about provider.cpp, I've heard it was because of not enough ram which is Wrong, and I've heard that it was my config files that was wrong so what I did was I made the session goto the account database instead of the character one and it works and all but when I try to log in it says wrong password because it cant find the sa_ubuser or something like that folder, but when i connect it to the Character db it crashes this doesn't make any since at all.

I am looking for a positive reply considering I will win in any flamming I get from your people. I am not a noob and I am going to college in the US for game design and programming and even this stomps my head in. I also go to another site GZN and i have over 1000 post the names +Mario there.

Do you remember if you ran the SN.txt in the query analyzer? There is also a chance that you have a bad exe file in the server package. Seems to me I read of this happening a few times, and swapping out the particular exe solved their problem. Although in your case it seems more related to the db.

Let me know if it persists and I can always send you my server exes that are running my machine to try. I know I had to work through a few errors on my initial install, but it's been a while now and can't remember if this is one of the errors I got.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and the only reason why I'm new is because I wanted to make a 2moons private server....

And well... this topic DEFINITLY helped me out with it... But I still have some problems Can any one help me out on these problems?:

1. I can't find any dbmon.exe... I don't know where to download it

2. I want to change the server name in a other name... (instead of difference I want it to say a name I came up with )

*it would also be nice if I can change the loadingscreens of difference server into a loading screen that maybe I can make with photoshop or what ever

3. I can't seem to find a query analyzer program :S I'm using msql server 2005 express edition with the msql server management studio express for sp3... And I don't know if it also has a query analyzer... If there is anyone kind enought to give me a link to the query analyzer I will be grateful!

4. I'm not quite sure yet if the server is going to work since I don't have dbmon .... So if I do and it still doesn't work, can I still ask another question how to solve the next relating problem ?

I really appreciate the work you guys have done for us. And I hope I can get my server running in maybe a couple of days eather ways hopefully someone can help me out on this and if he does I will thank him and maybe (depending on if this forum uses it...) give him a +rep
