Is there a TUT on how to actually use WinHex?

IM trying to edit data.pak but i cant find the way to actually remove a piece of data and write in a new piece, i cant just backspace or highlight and delete and type in the new info, so can someone explain to me how to do it?

You basically cant remove any piece of date off by just pressing delete. You have to put them as "space". You have to highlight then type it in. Overwriting the original byte.

but what about when the new data is shorter than the old one? just use spaces?

ex. Braiken.mac is longer than login.mac so theres 2 extra spaces...

there will be chinese/korean text name for the map before those .mac and such. Just start 2 space backward.

Edit: I read wrong so heres the answer

braiken.mac = 11 byte
login.mac =9 byte

wallhack = login.mac(space)(space)
