this cant work guyz, cuze if u do just that u still have ur client updated, client ignores old patch re-downloading, reinstalling and applying the method gets u wiht an old data.pak, that gives u invalid client ...

One of the last steps in this is to bypass the launcher so it doesn't have to connect to the update server. This works if its done step by step.

I think it does work. May be it didn't work fior some of u cuz u didnt complete the steps properly. Also ya u need to Bypass both launcher and GG; if u didnt do it it won't work and most likely u'll get invalid client error. Also sometimes u need to reinstall the game before u edit the history, then it will be more successful.
