There are lots of small steps to make your PC faster when you're playing games, just go to youtube and search "How to optimize my computer for games" and play the most recent and viewd video you find.
It's not only cuz you're playing on laptop that you can't enjoy a smooth gameplay, i am actually playing pinkgalaxy with 40-60 fps and my laptop is similar to yours, only difference is that im using a HD instead of SSD and my graphic card is a built-in intel.
I am actually playing on Opera GX and the gameplay is kinda smooth, remember also to clean your computer often, for that i'd recommend Ccleaner + prefetch/temp/%temp% manually.
