Works fine, one thing to watch is that you have to use that 100$ at once otherwise it will expire in one month.

You will NOT get this, you can only have one month, credit will expire after!
You can only buy a powerful VPS with all that money and use it for one month, you can't buy a cheap one and hope you can use it more months.

No , it does matter , the offer is based on that , using referral you gain 100$ , i paid 5$ and didn't get the 100$ because the referral link was removed from the thread , so here's mine.
