Booty Keys or Essentials?

Would it be better if I bought booty keys in hopes of acquiring BO2s LF3s and designs.

Or should I buy LF3s/BO2s straight up with the uri I get from my bot?

Booty keys give you the chance to get something better, like LF4s, Apis and Zeus.

Buying straight isn't always the fastest and better choice.
Like ammo: remember better spending money on galaxy gates than straight buying ammo from the shop.

This is a fresh account not really able to do any gates at the moment, would you still recommend booty keys?

Gates advice was for ammo, not for LF-3s.

I would say to go with lots of bids on trade first, look at the Auction Bidder (Bots or Tools).

Use your uridium to make galaxy gates (I would do Zeta in your case), use that keys for items.

Ammo isn't important for you at all at this point. You must increase your damage on X1 first, once you have that I would go for JOB ammo for Zeta (do not forget to add promerium or even seprom to your lasers).

If you do not have enough fire power for that gate: a) bid for LF3 and BO2; b) keep in mind you might be able to finish it faster with Kami and Moth formation (you must buy those too - moth isn't that important right now for you).

Don't bid LF3, just buy the new SL2 lasers for 300k creds, they're almost the same against NPC. Do some zetas (they're doable with more or less anything, but full SL2 and moth sure helps), and with all the keys you'll be full LF3 in no time. If you're npc botting, it might be also worth to craft SL3 before you get full LF4.

Oh and buying LF3/B02 with uri... just don't.
