These are the guidelines for issuing ban extensions.

Major Bans (including but not limited to)

Website/URL’s………. Porn, Bots, Advertising, other games etc
Offensive Chat……… Swearing, Sexual Reference, racial threats,
Selling/trading/buying Accounts
Anything being used trying to hack peoples accounts
Inappropriate names , Upon ships, pets, directed at mods /Bigpoint
Chat Account
Disrespecting mods
Mod Privacy/ outing in chat
3 NEL (1 HOUR) bans will count as one major ban.*

Minor Bans (including but not limited to)

1. Non-Translated NEL *
2. Caps
3. Flooding/Spamming
4. Accusations
5. Flaming /Trolling
6. Inappropriate Ship names ( all other types of names excluded from majors)
7. Going around the filter
8. Anything to do with Clan search not in the clan search room

Ban Extension Staging

First major ……………. 3 days
Second Major………… 7 days
Third major……………. 14 days
Forth major…………… 21 days
Fifth Major……………. 30 days
Final………………………. Perma Ban

*NEL Bans

When counting bans, NEL bans bans are treated differently. 3 1 hour NEL bans will count as one major ban.
NEL bans are counted from the last ban extension. ie if they have 2 NEL bans then receive a 3 day extension we would restart the count from there at zero.
If you have included NEL bans towards the next extension you MUST note this in the extension text (eg 6 NEL bans = 2 major bans)

Rules:

There must be 4 Major Bans between any level of Ban Extension.
Minor bans Only to be counted and entered into count entry
Rule 1. Does not apply if sanctioned by a senior Mod. Noted in Comment box (if consulting an admin for questionable bans)
Repeated bans for nel 3x 1 hour ban =1 Major ban
Bans taking into account for an extension must not be more than 3 months old.
When lifting a ban for an extension you must enter it into the Liftxs document.
Longer 30 day bans must run their course and not lifted for extension purposes.

Please use your common sense and discretion when reviewing a ban log. Remember that some bans may have been issued before the policy changes and should therefore be taken on an individual basis according to the new policies and

your judgement.

If you are reviewing a player's record and they need a ban extension then you should follow the staging process (ie 3 days - 7 days - 14 days etc.). You should make sure the previous ban extensions should be noted in the ban log.

Hacking of accounts

Please follow the hacking accounts guidelines
Treated as a major count

NB - If you feel that a player's record is bad enough to warrant skipping to the next stage then this is possible as long as it is approved by a CA/GA/TL.

Remember you are not on your own. If in doubt ASK.

Is it possible for you to get the HACKING accounts guidelines?

As I was asking in his post it says there are guidelines in how to treat hacking accounts. I would like to know those guidelines.
