I think that there is not only one reason. Some one code code a bot for some reasons:
1) Or to make money
2) Or to give something helpful to the community
3) n.2 + make his own bot
4) n.1 + n.2 + n.3

So basically each one has own phylosophy to intend a bot, also there are different way to intend the real needs of the botters, to design the interface, the code etc.. If you see also the programming languages that were used to code these bots are differents: FsBot with AutoIt, Golem with C++, Mbot and AutoBot with C#, Nanobot with AHK. If really all the developers want to collaborate, I think that the result will be just a mistake.. Why? Just think on why "Apple don't collaborate with Microsoft" (as someone already said)

last time captchas came out ibot made a system for it, but it cost, if you get the code wrong 20 times which a pixel bot is likely to do unless coded very well you get booted from the star map, if you keep getting booted from the star map many times have a guess whats gonna happen, DO forum even said about this

by the way i read about the whole "bp watch epvp or not" stuff... for those that think bp does not look at EPVP, ask yourself: Why even exists then?

I would not use it... Use Candybot or FSbot (or some other pixel bot) if you wanna make uri
