i advice you to put a higher range for the shooting. & Start/Stop Shooting with Ctrl. Anyway nice =)

No problem, I think it needs higher range, and shoot with control won't make me any problem (atleast, I hope it won't...).
I am thinking about making encryption system for saves. Also, it's good that gamemaker games are cheat-engine-resistant!

maybe try adding quests? it's something most clones lack and it would make the game a lot less grindy

Dear Nik33,

Nice job so far on your project I thoroughly enjoy it so far and cant wait to see it fully functioning. I know you asked for some advice on what to add so these are some things I would personally like to see, some of these thing's you may already be working on!

-Demilitarized Zones (from npcs)

-Hit Counter

-Ability to keep graphics the same or have a higher quality. ("Personally I don't mind graphics I have lower end PC so game functions alot smoother then Darkorbit Remix for me.")

-If you plan on adding enemy/friendly ships please do not just load 4-4 and Battle Maps with a ton of enemy/friendly players. Keep it reasonable maybe give AI a larger range that way people can actually enjoy the hunt and not fly around every 2 seconds and see an enemy :P ( P.S main lag issue in Darkorbit Remix)

-Functional Galaxy Gates (thoroughly enjoy the whole completing gates and earning rewards. Maybe you could make it to where you can gain lf5's and drone designs by completing gates. For the honest player who won't just set stats and max credits and uridium)

-Functional Uppers x-5 - x-8 (add cubes, bk's, bbk's, lk's, lbk's, loradkium) (Upper bases as well)

I know this is a lot but I know a lot of people would really enjoy to see these things added into the project. It is great so far and I cannot wait to see what is in store for these next updates. Keep up the great work!

I have wrote all these ideas (and added some mine)
Quests - I was thinking about that, it wont be to much hard
Demilitarized Zones - Wanted to add, always forgot
Hit Counter - Do you mean these number going out of your targets?
Resolution changing - That will increase graphics very much
When doing pvp, do not add too much npcs (Also, do PvP and NPC players)
Galaxy Gates! Yay! Can't wait to do that. Maybe: Pirates and Palladium
Bonusboxes
Sounds, that silence is pretty creepy
X-5 to X-8 (with base)
Drones, designs
Kill everybody who ask for online (Or atleast add huge warning at mainpage)

And last thing. You will be surprised. ANDROID port! (iOS? No way! You need Apple computer to do that!)

And laster thing, I need renders of npc shots. Which? ALL OF THESE (Generally normal map npcs)

And lastest thing, thanks for your great responses, I had no idea that it will be so much "successful"!

Wrong, game maker games are not resistant against Cheat Engine^^ there're a few tutorials how to cheat with CE on D.O.R. ^^ , ps: you can check the process list and if CE is in the list you can kill this process or let the game end or whatever =D

I was taking a break, now I am going to work on demilitarized zones (work is bad word, when you do something 4 fun, you should not say it xD, I am going to do it).
EDIT: Demi zones done. I'll add something that will tell you that you are in demi zone. I'll make hotbar clickable (part of "getting ready for android") a then I'll make quest system. That won't be much easy...

Yes. I have made whole engine in gamemaker, so that is easiest solution
EDIT: I am testing it on android right now!
