Some really good posts, I read explained, the facts that DO is too greedy, and can't expect something like they do right now, from the player base they have. They explained, that botting cannot be blamed too heavily, due to Bigpoint's high expectations for INCOME.

In all fairness I blame Dark Orbit for the bots growing out of control, yeah its the "Bot Users" who decided to bot, but if BP wasn't a money inflicted greedy self centred company then this would not got as out of hand as it has done right now.
All these updates that you bring out, are unfair and pointless when you put caps on how "WE" earn "URI".
What drove most the honest community to either quit or turn to botting was your stupid idea to change the "PET KAMI" was the best and most useful way to earn URI to keep up with the limited number of cheats back then.
Since that was thrown out the window, most like I said quit or either turnt to botting, mainly because you was so lenient on their punishment, they knew they could basically get away with it and with such an unsuccessful rate of bans/catching them, most saw it fit to cheat because they knew they could, it was only way to keep ahead of catch up now, same with autolocks, a limited few used it, others got sick of always being autolocked, so buy it to play on an even playing field, its not PVP, its not skill, but its only way to fight autolockers, and that's with autolocks.
But back to the price of things, you have advantage packs, yeah 30% of overall with prem is nice but lets see the price of things, figures are not exact, kind of just rounded down a bit;
- 3,150,000 just to upgrade 45 LF4
- 1,400,000 just to upgrade 20 BO2
- 3,900,000 for havocs (If you are lucky nd it costs 130k per gate, nd u get them all in 30 gates)
- Hercs (Say about same as above, but even thats not true, chance can be anything, it sucks that its only a "Chance", my mate done around 30 Kappas for 1 Herc)...
(This is just the little equipment, this does not include the price to unlock all the PET slots, to buy all the needed protocols, which all adds to another couple million for those that want UFE Pets too)
So at the moment its like an estimated 13mill just to do upgrades and get drone covers, add another 3mill + to actually get the LF4 in the first place nd thats 16 mill, which on a MHH is still over £1,120
So the price is ridiculously high and you wonder why people bot, allow for the farming of prots to come back, Kami with no cooldown, or increase the lame number of cubes in x-6 Maps
Make a new map, have 10-20 cubes on it, who cares, there is no way to make URI fast enough for the price you expect us to pay to become UFE, this is why people bot and ever since your stupid update that made Bonus Boxes null, rank points have been stupidly high.
You can see your problem, the price is high and you capped the only good way to make URI income, other then botting now.

To be honest i dont find botters as the problem. I find it to be more of the auto lockers and anti-emp cheaters as the problem. The botters are basically taking advantage of the free stuff that dark orbit provides.
In a game like darkorbit that you have to play to win a player can join on a sunday night , pay 5000 dollars and be uber FE in the morning. And with wallet warriors like this rank doesnt have impact on the game anyway. Another problem with getting rid of the botter is that the maps will be completlly empty. I play on USA east1 and USA east2 and out of the 20k or so users on that server maybe 3000 are active. And out of the 3000 users 2000 are botters. Leaving at most 1000 players on the maps at one time. This is going to leave the maps empty and boring. Unless you plan on combining severs i see getting rid of the botters as a bad thing.

Rick I appreciate the time for you to be the PR person and release and update on how your progress is doing, and admitting there are bots.
However, these are the exact same issues why I stopped playing along with my friends. For starters, the Moderators clearly deny and ban any talk about a bot, when it is evident it exist. Try to sweep it under the rug is more like it was accepting corrupt money and governing like you actually care, but in reality the company did not. Then you rely on a faulty system and give no indication of how your bot detection runs but deny that your software does not make mistake by catching people in error, that was icing on the cake. Hate to say it, but I dont hate botters for their acts anymore. I do not encourage it, but you brought it upon yourself. It is no different than old history where govt politicians were corrupt, and some vigilante comes and steals and ruins your authority and governing power.
Raised prices to outrageous earning time in game so the individual would have to spend money. You think that deters a botter? He just runs his program longer and creates a few more accounts to increase earning capacity while he plays on another account. Honest player suffers again as usual.
Now you ask we understand and you publicly announce there are bots? You guys have said they were bots in the past bcuz you already said you have a bot detection system. This statement holds no merit to me and how do you expect us to do "take a stance" on it? by killing these ships? waste my ammo and money that you guys let it infest to this mess? You want to fix this problem, it is very easy.
1 - you need to overall the prices and the game rules. - Yes that means reduce your prices immensely by 1/3 to half of what it is for all the new stuff.
2 - You need to get your lazy butts into the game and actively look for the botters rather than rely on your donkey software bcuz it is obvious who the botters are.
3 - You need to look into everyones account and check how much money they put in it, and the ones who "play for free" and have become FE / UE in the last 8 months, are likely botters and require further examination. Why the past 12 months? bcuz any new player with a FE account that didnt pay is obviously botting, I dont care what you say, but it is impossible to play this mind reducing game to collect boxes and farm NPC hours on end. In addition, I did not say they are 100%, but they are a suspect and need further investigation. Until you have people actively looking for botters in the game, expect your game to keep diving.

For a FE account without pet as you say, it cost around 50.000.000 uridium

I'd like to know how others feel about the reasoning in why, most of the Darkorbit Forum's base, are bot users.
