You can put the trade system OR you can also increase the uridium rates so ppl will have to buy all the stuff in uridium.
You can also (if it is possible) make some quests which gives you the important stuff you actually have to bid on (rep 4, irises, goliath, designs, extra slots...).
Hope I helped. I think I can found more ideas about changing the DarkOrbit gameplay which is boring (based on uri farm) because it was made to earn some $.

We will add a guide on how to edit this, maybe...
If i will be the admin of a server, i will add more uri and use trade, but for make that page work, boxxy needs to create a link between that pages and the database 
ATM, he is addin backpages, then he will make emu run, and then he will make backpages (trade, shop, etc...) running. This is what i understood then i don't know his plans!!
