As a DarkOrbit player since 2008, all I would like to have is the old client of DarkOrbit. I'm shocked to see how BigPoint didn't listen to the players that called out when they made their client change.
So anyone heard of people who has the files for the game? I think that a great company could make some serious stuff out of that. AND they say that they're terminated, so if they were, then they no longer owns the copyright on them and they would become "free to use", am I correct?
But we all know that BP has the files, they just don't wish to take them in use..

The client files that were before the date of 25.01.2010 is no longer on their hands and you will not get sued for using files that are now owned. If you however take files from Uridium Wars which IS a part of the new client, then you'll get sued.

And making the files public will ruin the entire thing. The files should be given to a company who can provide some serious stuff.

nope, that's wrong, if he make public fileserver distribution. it will be like an mu online server creation, you will see lots of servers coming. and most of the ppl will save the files, so they can be reupload to an thousand hosts including torrents (if someone uploads it, ME!) bp will get busy, just like an cat, trying to get millons of rats.
check on turkish forums, i saw d.o private files there. but outdated alot. if share for private usage i would like, really. my own server, just me and me... nope, i will try create bot's.
Someone can put these files online so we can play it?
I mean, is there a way to upload them on a gameserver? ^^
and make it PLAYABLE. that's the biggest problem omg. if i can put it on some private server, they will be just a folder called spacemap and you can look on npc sprites there
2011er Client/Files Server mit 2010er Client zocken. 09/10/2011 - Metin2 - 3 Replies Ich zocke auf Imba-2010. Und zwar hat der Server glaube ich 2011er Client oder Files. Mein Problem ist dort kann ich nicht den Client modden. Im spiel sind die meisten dann unsichtbar und manche Characktäre von mir auch und kann auch nicht laufen.
Meine Frage ist, kann ich irgendwie mit einem 2010er Client auf den Server spielen. Wenn jah könnt ihr mir sagen wie ?
