[Please Read]Creating Private PvP server for DarkOrbit

Hello friends
I got a new idea , I will create a private pvp server and client ,
Server will be like DO main server , and Client for players to join server to play (PvP)
You will get server and client exe ,
If u want you can Host a multiplayer , Server , on which other players can join , or u can join other servers with client

This is actually creating for PvP , if u want to challenge some players from DO , just ask them to join your server and play a private PVP , only in 2 of you

As this is only PvP server not game , You will need a DO acc to play .
you need to login to your DO acc from client , client will load your equipment , ship and bio , PET and all that stuff , info , as your ID will not be used , this will be total BAN safe , as u r using total new server , no contact with DO servers

For what u can you this
1) Private PvP challenge (even u can challenge players from an other DO server )
2) OutFit Fight (One outfit V/s Other OutFit )
3) Clan War , Prove your clan is stronger than opponent ,
4) Fun

You have 1 main advantage , that , u can fight without other players disturbing you
You can even make Frag video's , of PvP battles , to prove your strength ,

And I don't think , BP will Have any problem of this , It won't use their servers and it will not increase your Ex , Uri , from DO acc either .
as u r playing on other server , u will get no drone damage , or lose your ammo etc :0
We will use PvP map , 4-4 for PvP's , (it dont matters which color map u use:P)

Well , I have not started any work yet , and as this is a Big project , i will need help of others , project will be created in VB (can be changed to C# , but i know VB best till now)
Interested persons(VB . C# programmers) , PM me with your skype ID
Well , for entering this team , u need to have basic .Net programming skills , and time to work on project , and Interest for creating something cool where u will need to use all of ur skills

I will post a Poll , for players , if u think this project will be good idea ,and usefull , than getting disturbed by other players while PvP

No Hosting Server will not have any problems , as the server is hosted by single person on his PC , any one can host a server (it will be like Counter Strike Dedicated server , which will shut down when u close server.exe)


well for each ship , sending and recieving packets needs 10kb (max) , then if u have well internet connection , (u can download with more than 150kbps speed) then u can host a server for 5 vs 5 outfit battle

Trust in Me when you do this you get Suizide like the others OrbitLegacy and other Games.
When this clone get Popularer you get suizid by BP.
Create your Game with own Graphic and Ideas.
Like Me.
Look BlackGalaxy is better then DO although my game isn´t released yet.

LoL a vps isn´t enought for a game like this.

With connection you didn´t get any problems but you need enough Ram and good enough Processor. That the Player can Play Lagfree

if people can host on pc then vps is more than enough for it..

i suppose , as only max , 10 players, will be on one server , processor , p4 will also work . i dont about ram though , but it wont take over 300 mb ,
for hoster , 300 mb for server and 300 mb for client
600 mb isnt much , when u have 3~4 gb ram

well how you r creating this game , a game maker or Language ?
