the best way to get LF4 is to collect pirate booty, or if yo only want LF4 doing epsilon, if you have time to pally then do kappas...hercules and Lf4 are a good mix.
for leveling the pet I recomend to do the new quests that gives you a lot of experience

You need to collect booty keys on doubble chance lf-4 or make kappa. Kappa gives more lf4s than epsilon.
