i think what he means is that kbot seems to be based largely on ibot so how did ivan get the ibot source code.

i did the 24 hour trials for both and noticed that the only difference is that kbot doesnt have a working chat tab. as far as i saw

If you know what you do, it's easy to edit the source.
What is that? The only thing that change from iBot to kBot is the authentication server.
Everything else (coding, updates etc) is identical (compared with MD5 hash some files).
So, only some DLLs change.

So like this you set-up your own broadcasting server and you change DLL's adress to your own and.. Voila! You have your own Bot master server.

PS: I know it is not how i describe it, but just an idea to newbies to figure out how things work.
