Question about bans

Forgive if this is a dumb question

If I was on a account using a UD cheat on a game like cs2 for example but I stopped playing and cheating entirely for lets say 2 months or so. And the cheat got detected but not when I was playing it was when I was taking a break so I wouldn't have used the cheat when it was detected, would my account still get banned?

and does this vary for games

yes since bans can be delayed, in 1 wave everyone who used a specific cheat or certain feature will get banned

Depends on how the detection happened. Some bans are delayed, so being offline when the cheat gets detected doesn't always mean you're safe
