vac delay

I'm curious how delayed can a vac ban actually be? I heard a guy talking about using a cheat a year ago, but got banned recently. Im pretty sure his lying, though. There must be no way thats possible or?

There are some cases where the ban gets delayed. But only if they are not sure about your playstyle. Got banned 3 times and always fast.

A friend of mine got banned almost 6 months after he cheatet or even played the game. But thats very unlikely.

I'm also curious about this too, I have seen on some forums people talking about Valve storing information on what processes are running on your computer while you play in a database, for potential ban waves later on.... this would be real ****** if true. It means that if a cheat gets identified a while later, and shares whatever identifying information you had running, you could get caught up in a ban.

Anybody have any information on this??

I hope it's not true, and think it might be BS because that's extra server space for little upside on their end... if it was true i would also assume they might not hold on to the stored info forever. I hope.

How long ago did your friend get banned with 6 months in between cheat/play and ban??? Was this recently, or a year ago or more?

I’m asking bc I’m wondering how many ban waves passed in this 6 month period. If it was a while ago, he may have just been flagged and banned in one big wave, if recently then most likely multiple ban waves happened in this time, which would be very good to know. Thanks !!

multiple months? you mean passing a 1st banwave, then getting hit in the next or one after that?

and not cheating/playing for multiple months? or cheating for multiple months then getting finally hit?

Just means they could start collecting data today and ban everyone after multiple months

I've actually never heard of such a long delay personally. Really? 3 years they will let you cheat while your account is flagged in their system? sounds kind of insane.

who knows what is going on in their heads lol but its pretty sure they dont care about hackers ruining games.
