windows 7 or fedora.
btw, just for the record.. i know no one has really been bashing against vista, but it's not as bad as everyone seems to think, just incase you can't get windows 7, just go with vista and turn off UAC; its fine.
XP is old now, wouldn't waste my time with another install of it
win 7 is the sexiest, stable, etc, should have no complaints.
vista, got off to a bad start, after SP1 it's fine.
fedora - my fav linux distro.

Windows Vista wasn't THAT bad.... it used a **** load of resources but my laptop took it like its ***** ._. I like Windows 7 a lot better though. It's the look that I wanted... kinda.
This is what i did to make it look a little more like windows 1.0 - windows vista:

****** PC: Windows XP 32 bit.
Average PC: Windows 7 32 bit or Windows XP 32 bit
By far above average: Windows 7 32 bit
64-bit ain't worth it.

Yah, it doesn't work for Windows 7 64 bit.
You must of downloaded something though for photoshop cs5... because it's using Photoshop.

No, photoshop uses the .dds plugin from nvidia, the only problem is that the plugin is 32bit, thats why the shell extension that allows you to view thumbnails doesnt work because its a 64bit OS.

Also a tip for editing the client, ditch photoshop and switch to either gimp or paint.net, they both use the alpha layer correctly to show transparency, unlike photoshop that indirectly allows you to edit the alpha layer, but you cant see your results very easily.

Meh, it's been reported that Windows 7 can outperform XP even on lower spec systems.
