ive tried and tried but didnt work, there might be another way but i dont know how to edit .C3 files
ill quote my self here.THE PACKETS ARE THE SAME.open up monster.dat and screw with it and you'll see, there is only 1 metdove in there right?
there may be only 1 met dove but the two monster files themselves are differently named, dont knock it till you try it man. and i mean the monster design files. i cant open em because i cant figure out how to open em. o.o
The real met dove is quite a iffy status of of means to tell which ones are and which ones arent real, atm the only way to really tell is to use a map which has been drawn out by a member of this forum.
As for the packets are the same, this could or couldnt be true, im not saying either way.. but if you think that the real met doves have the same data inside of the normal met dove using the files CO provide, to spawn a real met dove with the same data as a normal, this would need the use of packets to spawn the mob with different stats server->client.. then client->server upon attacking and death.
Although im not saying this is true, you could quite well have logged these packets, and in which case is fair enough, the packets wont be the same.
If they arent the same the only other explaination would be that the real met dove and the normal ones are actually stored in 2 seperate files.
But i would go with the first option, once you attack a dove within a certain area, the client then sends a packet to see if this dove is real, the server then sends a packet back saying ture or false, then upon death the clietn sends a packet back saying what type you have killed, then server decides what to drop.
