What effects? Excuse my stupidity as I've never played conquer with them but as far as I understand it the glows and stuff on them works almost exactly like weapon glows do... as such I'd start digging around in the ini folder matching up which mesh goes with which texture and glow. As far as a packet side situation goes... there is no effect involved, you simply send the standard item info with the dragon soul/refinery info packet paired with it and then send the show gears subtype of item usage and boom, it's all visible.
