Perfect defense?

Was just wondering, with full -7% bless and full 2socks with SupTort Gems you can get more than 100% damg reduction. Maybe anyone has tried this on the private servers.. but since ive never tried it, just curious would anyone confirm if this worked?

Yea 100% damage reduction plus a few more socks to spare for sdg's with full 2socks..
with plus 9 weaps and ring for the damaging you need.
Pretty neat if it worked.

no it doesnt work like that.
i shal explane.

lets say your a powerfull warrior with 4k def.
and you have -100%

a trojan that attacks you with 8k will be 1 to you.
in other words. 12k on you with that def whould only be 4k

I don't believe that STG, bless, and reborn reductions stack. It's not (damage)((100%)-(84%+49%+50%)), it's (damage)((100%)-(84%))((100%)-(49%))((100%)-(50%)). If that makes any sense, there's also rumors that there's a cap on STG but, I never tested it...

(damage)((100%)-(STG))((100%)-(Bless))((100%)-(reborn))

Oh so bless reductions uses your total def? I thought the bless reduction comes last for the damage taken, regardless of what the damage, yea if that was so then it wont work with archer damage...

if your def is **** it wont even help

bless and stg don't add, they multiply
so 14 stgs are (original damage)*.93^14= 36% (original damage) but it is capped at 47% i think so that's about 55% original damage... add that to 47% bless it's still about 5-10% (original damage)

meaning if a tro hits you 10k it would end up as 500-1000... good for gw 2nd rb 130 waters... if you want to waste a 2nd rb 130 water and full 2 soc on a stupid invincible rever just for gw -.-

well tested on priv server.... 130130 full 2x super SDG+9 -7 dmg troj club/blade 130 etc..CANT 1 hit 130-130 war 2x STG +9 -7 dmg etc etc ;p

dont forget you can bless outfits and gourds to -7 also. so 9 times -7 for tros and wars. 8 times -7 for archers and taos.

screw wasting money on all these gems and socs, Simply become a worrior b4 u rb or 2nd rb so ull have reflect and sheild.....at higher lvl sheild makes u temporarly invincible to melee if im not mistaken

You guys know there is a cap of 50% on - damage.
Anything more wont help.
I know a 2nd rb water named Persephone and she has 50 pct bless.
she has had more, but we have tested, it doesnt help.
