help with moon gem quest

the site says: Mr. Pine (454,242) in Stone Village of the desert needs a refined Bone Bracelet. If you help him to get one, he will tell you some clues of Moon Gem.

now heres the problem i still cannot find mr. pine in stone city, am i doing thi wrong or something someone pls help me out. much appreciated

there's a small village in the middle of 1st desert map with bnlacksmith that sells poleaxes

try that city

Mr. Pine is in the tower of the village close to the dessert city mine. I've done this quest before and only got a fake moon letter.

Go to Desert city and ask conductris to send you to Mystic Castle. Go to Mystic Castle, then go all the way to the right. above you will be the way to go to desert city mine now go down till you come to a city and then find the Village Head then in the tower behind hime is MR. Pine.

now heres the really tough part well two tough parts where do i usually find emily for the phyton heart part (i suck at coords) and how come i can never find a ghost?
