only want to know wether Tortoise gems need a socket to ench into wep like all other gems, too...but it seems to me that they are "not normal" like other gems...

I'm not sure I understand your question. Tortoise gems are good for 3 things:
1. put in a socket like any other gem to reduce damage
2. enchant hp to your gear (other gems are better)
3. add blessing to gear (super gems only)

tortoise can be socketed into weapons or gears but if you have blessed gears, you can make the following:

Super Tortoise Gems Required
Upgraded from 1% to 3%
1
Upgraded from 3% to 5%
3
Upgraded from 5% to 7%

mmh i have a question : how work the reduced damage? if u have all items blessed -7% and all full socket supertrtoise (-6%), does it means that u can be invincible? how it works? if someone know it?

That is something I have been wanting to see for a while now. Only, you would have to name the char Jugernaut or Tank, or something like that, lol. A friend of mine and I were discussing this topic one day. You wouldn't have the highest attack, but you could stand there with pots and laugh at anyone (eventually they would just have to run from you).

Like I said I got to see that someday.

no, u can't be invincible like that, theres a cap.

ok i know this is the wrong spot but i have not played
co for a long long time..Is there anyway to mine gems any more
i was in pc mine for 4 day hmm not a single gem and all u can mine
in tc is tort gems :{ cheers any help would be greatfull

yeah but blessing and torts are counted differently I think. that along with the reborn deductions its possible to get -80% damage. I have heard about quite a few full tort waters

okay, i found how the system works :

taking damage u decrease by the tortoise gems pct, then u decrease this result by the bless pct, and finally if u are reborn u decrease again damage by 30 pct... that means if u are full super tortoise 2 soc and full -7 bless, and reborn, u have 94 pct of damage absortion... ^^ that s very fun, but a very good tro full SDG can kill u with 4-5 hit..

But the TANK is a way of life ^^
