Character renaming

I did a search and came across this thread:

However, after scanning the last few pages, it doesn't seem to work with the latest patch. Also, I'm not exactly sure if it performs the function that I'm requesting.
Currently, is there any way to change the name of a character (yes, just the character, not the NPC or monster or item) client-side? Is there a file that stores the character's name? Much appreciated if someone can help ^^

You mean change character name in game for screenshots and such or in taskbar? Both are possible.

I mean change the character name in game. For example, if my tao is named ~Melody~, I want to change it to ~Harmony~. Not the screenshots or desktop.
