How are people still using old client?

People in my server are able to use their old client from before patch 4346 and are botting with old bots...how do you bypass the version number on login then?

Change the ip within autopatch.dat, but I think the client will give you a invalid version error if you try to login like that.

yea but theres a way to bypass that through the client side alls i know is that it requires access to theh exe file and stuff but idk wdh i have to use to access the data in teh exe file.

Get them to copy and MSN/email the files to you that they recieved from their friend... Then post them here xD

Use a proxy and have it overwrite the version data passed so either the server thinks you have the latest or the client thinks you're on a lower version server. However it works.. one way or the other.

Meh, I didn't mean for you to do it, it was more of me blabbing in my coding mindset. Just info for anyone who's interested in it. I'll look into it though. If I get it I'll add it to my proxy and you can double up with mine to do it.

Finally got around to doing it.

my new version will allow older clients to connect regardless of version.

i tried to change the version number with hex edit still didnt work, i also tried to reboot CO. so that idea can be eliminated
