Leechers aren't the problem, everybody leeches whatever they can get, that's reality and people know this when they post programs to share with us. If they didn't want us to use the programs they make, they wouldn't post them. I think the real problem is that this forum freely allows any and all dumbass noob kids on the internet to join up, that's the problem. Half the people here don't even understand fully how to play the game of Conquer, they are noobs and yet they're allowed to just waltz in here and have open access to invaluable programs like Cotobo which they can't begin to truly appreciate.

Personally I couldn't program a VCR without having the instruction manual but as noted, I don't think that's the issue at all. Having a forum full of complete idiots is the issue. From what I've seen here, no self-respecting programmer would dare post his hard work here for these ungrateful morons.

Epvpers obviously isn't going to change the way they do things, they will not acknowledge that their open-door policies for letting any and every idiot join here who wants to, has lowered this place to a status that's hardly above the Conquer forums themselves. If anyone has knowledge of a forum of this type that doesn't allow nor tolerate idiots, noobs and stupid kids that discourage all the respectable participants... I'd appreciate a pm about it.

You know when I used to play rs I belonged to a forum called rscheatnet. We had athing called the vet status that only long time productive members could get. Even had a vet fourm that only vets could access. Mabye we here need something like this. But... from my experience the games usally win. After all there the ones making the money and the really good bot makers get tired of updating there work untill thay all move off to new things. Thats how rscheatnet went down for the count. Too many ppl dont try to learn how to bot and soon no more will exist. Then this site will go down like all the others. To stop this we need more ppl to try and learn a thing or two about botting and we need to true botmakers to be more open with there source code so others can learn how to do and update what they did. Whats the point in keeping things like COtobo and COpartner's source code hiden. Especially if they dont plain on continuing there work on it. At least pass it on to a person you trust to continue your work in your stead. We need to work together more and not against one another if we are to keep this site alive. I myself and learning VB now to hopefully make some bots for this community as I did for rscheatnet. I see alot of flaming on this site thats not necessary. Everyone forgets that they at some time was a noob and knew nothing about making bots. Thay had to learn and at sometime I'm sure they leached too. STOP being so hatefull to noobs and more understanding. Be helpfull, correct them of there mistakes. Dont call them a noob and start cussing them out. Ppl here are so stuffed by there own superiority that they forget whats really important. The noobs are what keep this site alive. Nobody on this site is gonna stick around forever. Everybody moves on to new things. If we didn't have new members joining, eventually there be no one left. So to sum things up, do on to others as you would have others do on to you. Maybe they should redo the teirs.. have five lvls instead of however many they have now..

Lvl 1 can be ez stuff like minor file edits... itemtype and monster dat, or whatever..

Lvl 2 could be for ppl who have been round longer, and with multiclient, and macros, like autopotter, and some of hojo's stuff

Lvl3 could be for Tobo and Partner, if they ever get redone, for the designers, and ppl they approve

Lv4 could be Proxy for the current lvl-2s

Lv5 could be the GOOD Proxy,(the one that makes actually playing the game pointless) for the devs to mess around with and make fun of us...

I dunno...... something like that??? I'm happy to admit that i'm a lvl 1er in that ranking as well.

Hmm... Sound good. I like it. ANd, It that would give us a goal to achieve. Most ppl dont know where to start. For lvl 1 ppl they start with learnig the basics of editing non encrypted files. Once they learn that. Thay can move to something harder. and so on and so on. Move up the ranks. And this might weed out the leachers. Cause the most leachers can get is mabye how to show diffrent items on ground and stuff. To get to the really good stuff they would have to do something for the community. I really like this idea. Just one problem. How do we stop leakage.

But...who we kidding nothing is gona change. Dec. 11th might be the first day of the end. If it is oh well everything has a beginning and an end. Lets all hope not though. We really NEED some ppl to release there source code for others to learn.

wow so many interesting things being brought up in this thread especially the ideas of howaboutno. I personally wouldn't mind doing some work so I can get a hold of something like Cotobo for nothing is really free in life. So if someone is willing to teach then I think that there are always people like me who are willing to learn. If I continue to find conquer interesting that is lol XD

I think everyone can agree that noobs are anoying with stupid questions on the forums or asking for things. Most people wont even take the time to try to learn how to do it on there own or atleast try to learn it. The forum is basicly split up like so you have the lvl 3 mods which are the really awsome programmers here you can tell by checking alot of the other games like rose online then you have lvl 2 epvper's also very skilled at programming and know what there doing. and the level 1s which can be composed of the players that have 500 posts from spaming a topic with plzz master botzz kk thx like 40 times in the course of a week. And theres also lvl 1's that know what there doing and are working there way up. And people like me well I'm not good with c++ programming i know some c basic and alil java I'm not gonna say im l33t cause i know thats not true but I have the tools and i try even though I might not know exactly how to do it like cracking the ASProtect I tryed its not so easy I got about 75pct of the way done then did somthing wrong at some point. But atleast I actually tryed at it as should everyone that posts here before they ask others to do all the hard work. The question of leakage is a troublesome one.. its always been a problem for .. pretty much everything here.

I dunno if this is the case, but as i understand, proxy originally leaked because someone in the inner circle decide to try to make some money off it, and 'sold' it to 'subscribers'.. before one of those subscribers decided to post it here.. (Seriously, I found two well known conquer hackers using it about a year ago, and they tried to convince me to pay a $20 monthly subscription fee to use it O.o)

The problem we're dealing with is a human one, not a computer one. People can't be trusted. Sad but true.
In the mean time though, i'm all for bandaid solutions

I think that there always was and will be so call "noobs" such as me on forums such as epvpers, for it is only in the nature of human being to want to obtain something he or she desire with the least amount of effort possible, I am no different. However, it does not mean that we are unable to develope into more useful members of this forum. With that said, I am sure there are some people who just don't want to work and there is nothing that can be done about that. So i guess what I'm trying to say is that whether there will be more or less "noobs" on this forum depends on the pro's because they are the ones who are able to share their knowledge and encouragement which in turn will allow some "noobs" to become the next generation of pro's. If there were no new people then how can anything be continued or in some way improved?

well i played around more and got the ASProtected unpacked atleast though now im having trouble finding the ip it connects too well atleast im not totally lost xD
