Itemtype.dat help

Hey, i dowloaded this .dat file that's supposedly turn your items to supers or refined or elite, or what ever. But the problem is, it didn't come with any kind of help, nor did the post. So what i'm asking is what to do with it. Where do i put it in the program files?

should i replace the other itemtype.dat file? or just add the mod?

Back-up your old one, and put in the new one.

Yea as he said, back up your old one and replace ur new 1 with that existing one, and if you already have Conquer running reload it.

When i try that, windows says "Conquer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." would you like me to post the the specs on the problem?

Conquer has to be closed. And all that file does is change the name of the item so you can see the quality of the item on the ground before you pick it up. After reading your first post it sounds like you think it will magically change your items from normal to super.
