if you download and use conquer 1.0 and update it thorugh the auto patchwill you still have the old gui?

Unfortunately no, I have not tried this yet, but a possilibility might be that you keep your current install of CO 2.0 installed.
Install CO 1.0 to a new directory, figure out the location of the folder with the picture that CO uses to create the GUI, then transfer all the pictures in the CO 1.0 folder to the same location in the CO 2.0 folder. I might try this out and get back to you. Theoretically, if they use the same file names for each picture it should work. Otherwise you will have to change each of the pictures' names of the GUI by hand.

well not a bad idea but thats alot of work if it dont work and i cant really downloa the 1.0 install right now but im really hopeing it works i need a better gui and the old one was way cooler

Well, this is what happens when you do that...

Kinda looks bad. I edited most things in the picture, so you really cant tell where its from. ^.^ This was taken in 1024x786 Mode. If the 800x600 is different. I'll post it as well.

Menu's and everything look near perfect, with a few button off's main problem is your HP bar and most of the bottom bar.

EDIT** the 800x600 appears to have the same HP bar problem.

All I did was copy over the {CO 1.0 Folder}\data\main\*.* files over to the {CO 2.0 Folder}\data\main\ folder.. crude method, if you really want to see if you can make it better, there probally a better way / solution to the method.

Alrighty, I fixed the major bug with the HP bar, by letting it revert to the default CO 2.0 pictures. The GUI at least now is presentable, I have a back-up folder included as well in the Rar.

WARNING: I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU DO THIS IF YOU DO NOT READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU DO. SEMI-COMPLICATED IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE.
Instructions

Instalation:
1.

(RapidShare) 6902 KB
2. Save to/extract the file to {Conquer 2.0 Folder}\data\
3. File Overights all files and then run CO to test

Removal:
1. Delete all files in {Conquer 2.0 Folder}\data\main\ BUT NOT the one folder in there Titled 'CO 2.0 Back-Ups'
2. Cut/Copy all files in 'CO 2.0 Back-Ups' into the parent folder '{Conquer 2.0 Folder}\data\main\'

how did you fix the hp bar and thank you so much i was thinking if the bottom bar was ****** up then you could just use the old one? anyways ty ill give karhma when i got it working
